Fragrance Review

is an Italian fashion house based in and established in the year 1986 by and his brother Carlo. The name of the house was inspired by a book’s title regarding uniforms, read by . Their perfume line debuted in 2002 with Scent and , two unisex fragrances. belongs to the oriental woody olfactory group and was developed by perfumer .

On the official website, Scent Intense is presented with the tag line: “The Mystery and Sensuality of the ”, aimed at “an independent person who does not fear asserting their uniqueness.” The construction of this perfume is dominated by the distinct note of , employed extensively among the other listed ingredients: , patchouli, hibiscus, tea and jasmine.

I tested Scent Intense on the same occasion with L’Humaniste and although I’m sad to say that none of the two were matching my taste, I felt that the perfume made by CoSTUME NATIONAL is somewhat closer to what I’m looking for in a fragrance. The aroma of amber and the woody accord are very present from the first moments and accompany the scent throughout its entire development stages. The bottle that holds Scent Intense is made from opaque black glass and was designed by Ennio Capasa himself, sporting a shape that looks quite elegant. For making a contrast the name of the perfume is printed on white, in black letters and the packaging box preserves the same color scheme. Overall, Scent Intense could be an interesting choice if you happen to love scents based on amber and woody accords.
