Happy in Bloom was introduced by Clinique in 2006 as their new addition (at that time!) to the Happy line, which debuted in 1998 with Clinique Happy and was followed by Happy for Men, Happy Heart and Happy to Be. This limited edition fragrance is described as floral fruity and according to the official press release “It features the floral heart of the original Happy, teamed with chilled, watery notes designed to evoke frosty mornings and dew-laden flowers”. Moreover, this perfume is reportedly supposed to celebrate “a world suddenly in flower”.
This perfume embodies spring in a bottle and like a new version of Happy, renders a “sweet, softer, brighter” aroma with plum, fresh floral notes and a woody base. The olfactory construction of Happy in Bloom remains faithful to the pyramid having its top, heart and base notes.
The opening in this perfume comes as a breeze that features accords of yellow plum. Then, as the initial notes subside and they are replaced by a floral heart, you will be able to perceive the delicate aroma of white freesia, coupled with the note of muguet. The dry down takes place after more than one hour, and brings forward the exquisite aroma of white wood, juxtaposed to the floral accord of mimosa.
The flacon that holds Happy in Bloom looks approximately the same as its source of inspiration, except the flower drawings, selected to decorate the transparent glass from which the bottle was made. The silver cap brings a note of elegance into this image. Overall, Happy in Bloom will please the women in search of something interesting for the springtime of the year.
