Fragrance Review

Almost four years ago, it was a beautiful day of late spring 2008. Together with 2 friends, every one was looking to buy a fragrance. The funny thing is that today, when I remembered the story, I realized that my selection was the worst. If that morning one of the 2 friends was very determined to acquire Egoiste Platinum, after 3 hours he decided for Egoiste, because that seemed to him more convincing. The other friend went for Polo Double Black from and I turned down Terre d’Hermès for Man. The story ends in a happy note: 2 years ago, the fan received Egoiste Platinum as a gift, the friend with bought himself Terre d’Hermès and I never managed to buy at lasdt the fragrance that I considered initially.

My advice for you and the point of this tale is that every time when are supposed to buy a perfume, take  your time, examine thoroughly your choice, maybe take 2 or 3 days to decide, and only then you will no second thoughts.

Egoiste Platinum was introduced in 1993 as a fragrance for men, developed by the Chanel house perfumer, . The beginning of the fragrance is dominated by the classic note of lavender that enfolds a blend of rosemary, petitgrain and neroli. Later, the mid development combines geranium, galbanum clary sage and jasmine while the dry down encompasses a warm mixture of sandalwood, oakmoss, amber and cedar.

The bottle that holds Egoiste Platinum is similar to the original, except this time the stopper comes in a metallic hue. The video advertisement is epic and was directed by who managed to capture a short film that looks better compared to the original.

Overall, Egoiste Platinum is a very interesting woody floral musk, in spite of the fact that my personal favorite from Chanel remains , which continues to fascinate me every time I have the chance to smell it.
