Fragrance Review

Not to be mistaken with on Ice 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009 respectively, the flanker to 1999’s is called simply Ice. Presented alongside 212 Ice as a fragrant pair and in limited edition this scent arrived on the market in 2010, in the category of the olfactory group.

While I was sampling it two years ago, the first accords in reminded me of the spicy notes perceived in Terre d’Hermès, however not so elaborated. In spite on not being my favorite masculine fragrance from Carolina Herrera, this perfume does a well job in the persistence department (close to 8 hours) and is also a well-behaved type of scent.

The structure of 212 Men Ice remains faithful to the olfactory pyramid, having top, heart and base notes, every one of them achieved in a minimalistic way, with a small number of ingredients. 212 Men Ice starts off with a combination of and balanced in the mid development by a strong aroma of violet. After a period of approximately 3 hours, this structure reaches the dry down, which features a blend and woody notes.

The bottle that encloses 212 Men Ice comes with an innovative idea, apart from the block of ice, which was already seen in the previous editions. This time, the color scheme employed is an elegant black, a shade that conveys a feeling of grace to the bearer and is somehow juxtaposed to the transparency of the crystal. Overall, 212 Men Ice represents a suitable fragrance for the summer time, provided that you’ll have enough luck to encounter it in some online perfumery shops.
