The house of Calvin Klein has exerted a constant attraction for me, and I’m not saying this because Obsession is one of my all time favorite perfumes. It is just due to the fact that over the time, I had a good number of Calvin Klein perfumes in my wardrobe, more than any other brand. Every time Crave, Truth and Escape delighted me with their beguiling aroma and until present day I continue to be fascinated by Eternity and Contradiction, in spite of missing any opportunity to own them.
With such a background, you imagine that I become suddenly interested in every perfume launched by the American fashion house (I’m looking forward to September and their new masculine Encounter!). and this happened exactly in 2006 when Euphoria Men arrived on the market. Introduced one year after its feminine counterpart, this woody aromatic fragrance marks masculine scent of the house with the number 9, and for me, it was one of the fastest buying decisions.
Euphoria Men was developed by perfumers Loc Dong, Jean Marc Chaillan and Carlos Benaim and characterized in a few words is represented by enchanting warm woods accords combined with green herbal notes. The fragrance starts off with a pungent aroma citrus, combined with spices and when I checked the listed top notes I’ve discovered Japanese sudachi (a citrus comparable with yuzu), pepper, ginger and raindrop accord. Then, the green facet kicks in embodied by a blend that features cedar leaf, black basil and sage. After that, Euphoria Men has a liner evolution and finally dries down into a cocktail of sensual patchouli, creamy suede, solid amber and Brazilian redwood.
As much as I like this perfume, I can not help to notice that, according to my ranking, it is situated below the above mentioned fragrances; as a result it is only fair to admit that it never occurred to renew it in my collection. A thing which is obviously not valid for any of the other discussed CK fragrances.
The flacon that holds Euphoria Men has a minimalist design that recalls the feminine version, being made from transparent glass and topped by an elegant silver stopper with rectangular shape, while the video advertisement emphasizes on the “feeling-good” sensation that is associated with having this fragrance.
