Fragrance Review

This year’s summer edition of the classic 1990’s Eternity for Men, is called Eternity for Men Summer 2012 and was introduced in March, as a fragrant duo intended to “evoke the sun on sparkling water”, according to the press release. For me, after sampling this perfume I must say that from the first accords of Eternity for Men Summer 2012 until the final phase, I got the impression of delving into a pool with linden blossom tea.

This perfume is one of the most interesting summer editions I ever tested, making from Eternity for Men Summer 2012 a true classic of the genre. Belonging to the olfactory group, this summer is described on the official website, as a scent that “embodies both the tranquility and the romantic sensation when the warm, summer sun meats the ocean horizon”.

The first accords from this perfume represent a blend of chamomile roman, lush melon, wet summer aldehydes and juniper berries. Later, as the top notes subside and we move into the mid development stage, a floral heart is unveiled, shaped from the notes of mimosa, cedarleaf, hyacinth, and violet leaf. Coming after more than one hour, the dry down brings forward warm and more personal accords of Guaiac wood, coupled with amber notes, patchouli and musk.

This fragrance comes in limited edition and the flacon that holds it highlights this character, with a shape that is a replica of the original and a liquid having a green-blue shade that’s meant to evoke the calm of the sea water, during a summer day.
