“The most exciting launch that we have ever created and capture the iconic spirit of the brand today in a striking and sensual way”. These are the words of the creative director from Burberry, Christopher Bailey. And somehow his statement is understandable, because if you feared that this was only a marketing strategy, I can tell you that Burberry Body is prepared to enter the list of your favorites.
Launched on September 1st 2011 in 150 countries worldwide, and created by Michel Almairac, this chypre fruity fragrance is expected to have a huge success, not only since it bears the name Burberry, but surely because one of the attractions is the face selected for the ad campaign, the beautiful Rosie Huntington–Whiteley, who is featured wearing nothing but Burberry Body and the popular Burberry raincoat. Of course, this might be enticing, but is it enough to sell the product? What about perfume’s composition?
To verify it, I tested Burberry Body on my wife’s skin, as usual, and from the beginning it greeted me with pleasant notes. The opening is reserved for green absinthe, freesia and peach. I sensed the fresh notes that were announcing the next attractions. In the heart I distinguished strong accords of iris and rose, while the base notes features unbelievable accents of cashmere wood, vanilla, musk, amber and sandalwood. The final notes are above all sensational and the distinction relies in the cashmere wood tones that are a pleasure for the smell.
The bottle has a surprising shape that allows the women to keep it close to the body and the chromatic is rose gold. Available as 85 and 60 ml Eau de Parfum intense and 85, 60 and 35 Eau de Parfum, Burberry Body has also matching products in the range such as body oil and body milk.
Burberry Body has above average lasting power and good sillage. Perfect for special occasions, it is recommended for the women who are used to a luxury life, being less appropriate for all categories of people. I suggest you go and check out this new creation, if you haven’t done it already and make a personal judgment over it.
