Boss Bottled Night is a flanker to 1998’s classic Boss Bottled, which was introduced by Hugo Boss in July 2010 with the tag line “the fragrance for men”. The woody aromatic scent is aimed at the elegant man who dresses impeccably for the night with an exuding elegance that draws all the attention upon him. And because this character needed a representation for the advertising campaign, Hugo Boss hired Canadian film and television actor Ryan Reynolds as the fragrance ambassador. According to the official press release, “the iconic Boss Bottled” a “60-million- selling men’s fragrance” is keeping alive the successful story with Boss Bottled Night in which “the Boss man is primed to succeed”.
The olfactory construction of this fragrance follows the simple pyramid scheme with top, heart and base notes. The beginning of the scent is mixing birch leaves with lavender, adding a hint of citrus thanks to the lemon leaves. Then, after approximately 20 minutes, Boss Bottled Night enters its mid development stage, in which the spicy aroma of cardamom, is combined with jasmine and African violet. The last ingredient is responsible for conferring the structure a green touch. Finally, after a couple of hours, the dry down reveals aromas of Lauro amarelo tree, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.
The bottle that holds Boss Bottled Night Hugo Boss is replicating the shape of the original, except in a dark color scheme with deep blue reflections at the bottom. Overall, Boss Bottled Night Hugo Boss is the fragrance for the motivated young man, capable of achieving his goals and going after fresh provocations in his life.
