Fragrance Review

Launched in 2010, is the first major from the House of Chanel since 1999’s Allure. And even tough the latest launch per se happened in 2008 with Allure Homme Edition Blanche, it was obvious that the market was in need for something new, in spite of the fact that Chanel managed to feed this necessity by introducing every couple of years brand extensions of its classic Allure for men.

As with its previous perfumes dedicated to men, Chanel took its time for preparing this long awaited coming and the result was more than expected. I can say without hesitation that the in-house perfumer of Chanel, managed to create a remarkable scent that will continue the Chanel tradition. Regarding this aspect, even though currently is rather controversial, I am sure that in time Bleu de Chanel will earn its deserved spot in the heart of critics and the fragrance lovers.

Placed in the olfactory group, Bleu de Chanel features fine ingredients, among which: grapefruit, jasmine, mint, pink pepper, ginger, cedar, sandalwood and incense. I have a strong preference for the perfumes that contain incense and Bleu de Chanel is one of these. The sandalwood and incense are beautifully mixed, the result being something that might be described as pure pleasure for your .

The bottle features masculine shapes and a , conceived in order to overwhelm its beholder with shades of blue, a color that was employed in a creative way.

The marketing behind the fragrance was carefully elaborated and the employment of as the director for the video ad translated in a strong guarantee for the huge popularity. The face of the campaign for Bleu de Chanel is the French actor who done a fine job in capturing the essence of the perfume that evokes spontaneity and a man that rejects uniformity in his life.
