Baldessarini Del Mar – Sailing On the Calm Sea
Introduced in the spring of 2005, Del Mar is woody spicy fragrance for men, which was developed by the famous perfumer Alberto Morillas. Del Mar is a refreshing fragrance which begins with notes of bergamot, black pepper and juicy mandarin; the heart combines cinnamon, cedar and cardamom while the base is built with accords of vetiver, olibanum, ambergris and patchouli. The dominant notes are the black pepper and bergamot from the beginning and it feels very invigorating on the skin. The image of the perfume and the name suggest activities related to sailing.
The bottle was designed by the designer Denis Boudard who declared that “Baldessarini is the quintessential premium men’s fragrance. I wanted to create a design that reflected this feeling of haute couture, which the Baldessarini line embodies”. The shape comes in straight lines that are meant to induce equilibrium; the light blue color of the liquid is destined to evoke a voyage on the calm sea in a quiet summer afternoon and the stopper is similar with the accessories found on the sailing yachts.
