This is a fragrance that fascinated me from the first sniff. One week later, I was already buying it. And until today, this remains one of the 2 scents that were present on 2 different occasions in my collection. The first of these two is Narciso Rodriguez for Him, which is actually the only fragrance that I bought for myself twice. And the second, Azzaro Pour Homme was received as a birthday gift almost 2 years ago.
The brand dominated by the image of its founder, Azzaro, was established in 1962 By Loris Azzaro, a Frech Fashion designer born in Tunisia from Sicilian parents. Founded from the beginning with dedicated clothing and perfume lines, the business grew up rapidly, and by 1968 it already achieved a huge success.
Azzaro Pour Homme was launched 10 years later, in 1978, as an aromatic fougere fragrance developed by 3 perfumers: Gerard Anthony, Martin Heiddenreich and Richard Wirtz. In spite of its age, the fragranced remains an unmistakable classic and one of the best selling masculine fragrances in France and all over Europe.
The perfume opens with intoxicating notes of lavender, easily detected within a blend of anise, fennel and basil. The mid development reveals a combination of patchouli, vetiver, cardamom and sandalwood, while the base add a warm character by attaching notes of amber, oakmoss and musk, wrapped in leather.
The bottle of Azzaro Pour Homme has a very elegant image in which the transparent glass with amber-like color exhibits rectangular edges and is carefully topped by a black stopper with an upper rim in silver hue. Regarding the marketing campaign, as of October 2009, Enrique Iglesias was selected to front the perfume, under the creative vision of the Art Director Michel Mallard.
Azzaro Pour Homme is a fragrance for a man with distinctive style, who does not accept compromises in his life.
