The pair of fragrances called Azzaro Now is represented by Men and Women respectively, appeared on the market in 2007. The feminine version belongs to the floral aldehyde olfactory group and was developed by perfumers Annie Buzantian and Alberto Morillas. On the official website, the scent is described as “an irresistible power of attraction” and “essence of tenderness and femininity”.
For me, the moment I saw Azzaro Now Women on the perfumery shelves could be characterized as “bizarre”. The bottle with curved lines, designed by Emmanuelle Royer could be pictured as a combination of a bubble, a high-tech gadget and a lucky talisman. With Now Women, Azzaro is targeting the young women who have the ability to find their inner childish character and as a result envisage the world through a child’s eye.
As a fusion between hot and cold, the fragrance was based on aldehyde accords and tiaré flower. Azzaro Now Women opens with fruity accords of bergamot, white tea and passion fruit. Then, in the mid development there is a blend of aldehydes, jasmine and Tahitian tiaré flower. Finally, the base reveals its warm woody facet, in a mixture of amber, white musk and Brazilian rosewood. Reportedly, the perfume was imagined as a fusion of 2 lines: the vibration bubble (white tea, aldehydes and passion fruit) and cocoon bubble (musk, tiaré and amber). The pale pink shade of the bottle’s glass brings to mind a delicate composition which will be unveiled upon spraying.
