A flanker for the 1996 popular Chrome and its follow-up Chrome Legend, this new reinterpretation is called Chrome Sport and was introduced by Azzaro in February 2010. The fragrance embodies the sporty character of the original and is a woody aquatic scent developed by perfumer Michel Almairac.
I sampled Chrome Sport very soon after its release and the test revealed a more crisp, refreshing and stimulating side of Chrome. The source of inspiration for the scent is found as well in the idea of family values that shapes the strong characters. The energizing facet in Chrome Sport comes from the blend of citrus and spicy accords, which define the essence of the fragrance.
Chrome Sport begins with a heady mixture of citrus that comes as a pleasure for the olfactory senses. Bergamot and Amalfi lemon are mixed with grapefruit and bitter orange to produce a memorable sensation. Later, the heart encompasses spicy ginger combined with water notes and grass. The dry down arrives quite quickly in approximately 2 hours, the moment when I could perceive the aroma of white musk, in a mixture with warm amber and Virginia cedar.
The bottle of Chrome Sport looks slimmer compared to the classic, having a built-in spray cap that eliminates the necessity of a stopper. The frozen glass in light blue color goes well with the new refreshing facet of the scent. Chrome Sport exhibited a nice projection on my skin during the test, while manifesting as the type of sporty fragrance that has something extra. Ideal for the summer days, this fragrance could be your choice for the hot period of the year.
