Fragrance Review

In the category of perfumes is one of the main players and so far, everything I sampled proved to be according to their positioning on the market (that is, products having lower prices compared to the mainstream  ones and most likely not able to provide powerful emotions). Therefore, I tend to assimilate these perfumes with an alternative in hard times of recession, as the one we are constantly facing over the past four years.

Passion Dance is a feminine , introduced by Avon in 2003 and reportedly inspired (as the name implies, sic!) by , a passionate dance originated in Rio de la Plata, Argentine. According to the official press release, the scent was meant to unveil the sensual facet in every woman, by way of a seduction exerted at the level of its ingredients.

What I learned after this test (for which I was assisted, as it is always the case with the feminine perfumes, by the precious help of my sweet wife) is that, in case you decide for Passion Dance, you’ll have to keep with you in your purse, because it needs a lavish application during the entire day.

In the first 2 minutes that followed the moment I sprayed my wife’s wrist with two whiffs I was struck by a powerful smell of alcohol, which I imagined would lead to burning the phases real fast. Which, as you are about to find out, was totally true. Then, after the initial ten minutes the sensation of a fruity cocktail was obvious and this aroma pervaded throughout the duration of mid development until the dry down. In the final phase, Passion Dance became a little woody, however by the time two hours were gone since the initial spraying, the perfume was almost vanished from my wife’s skin.

The official listed notes are grapefruit, melon, lotus, jasmine, narcissus, rose, amber, moss and patchouli. The bottle that holds the scent is evocative for the perfume’s name, because the red passion hue does a very good job in the image department. Overall, Passion Dance could be your choice in case you love strong fruity cocktails that burn very fast.
