Avon Outspoken by Fergie – The Aroma of Blackberry

Fragrance Review

Outspoken by is a fragrance that I misjudged, until my wife received last spring as a gift its more powerful version, Outspoken Intense. Therefore, I decided that a test with the subject Outspoken by was needed.

The debut fragrance from the American singer Stacy Ann Ferguson (more famous as Fergie, her stage name!) arrived on the market in May 2010, as a result of her agreement with . Belonging to the olfactory group and developed by perfumer , Outspoken by Fergie was described by its creator in a few phrases: “Fergie is a multifaceted woman. She’s sexy yet demure, soft with a bit of edge, but always bold and confident. That’s what I really wanted to capture in her fragrance”.

The flacon that holds Outspoken by Fergie was reportedly inspired by the singer’s fashion style and features a shape with feminine curves manufactured from a deep blue opaque glass and topped by a transparent stopper which brings to mind a crystal.

Outspoken by Fergie begins on a pungent combination that features notes of frozen blackberry, starfruit and saffron. As the initial accords subside, the mid development kicks in, with a floral blend of intoxicating aroma: jasmine, tuberose and passion flower. The whole construction develops gradually until dry down, which encompasses accords of ebony and vetiver wrapped in the sensual note of black leather. Overall, this is a perfume geared at the brave women who are not afraid to reveal their confidence.
