Fragrance Review

Founded in 1920 by , the perfumery house emerged from Gallardi’s family passion for special perfumes. The founder wanted to own a store in , in which he would make famous the collection of perfumes designed by him and called Bottega Italiana Spigo. Sadly, he died in 1925, unable to witness the fulfilling of his dream. But hopefully, over the years, in 2005, his great-grandnephew, Enzo, reinterpreted the original formulas of his predecessor, and so was re-born with “a collection of eight refined fragrances with complex, intriguing bouquets are sold exclusively in a niche of highly selected stores”, according to the description on the official website.

Now, 1920 Extreme is a unisex fragrance, developed by , in total conformity with the old recipes from Guido Gallardi. The olfactory pyramid created for this perfume is placing the top, middle and base notes in an interesting harmony. The opening belongs to the mixture of , lavender and sage. The mid-development encompasses accords sweet floral accords of geranium and jasmine. The projection of the fragrance on the skin is extremely pleasant, being the type of woody scent with class. The dry down represents a combination of woody notes ( and cedar) and sweet sensuality of Tonka bean and .

1920 Extreme benefits from an interesting presentation that features a frozen glass with a stopper that looks as if it was manufactured from wood and the words “BOIS 1920” engraved in the upper part, while the packing box has disproportionate measures compared to the bottle.

Overall, 1920 Extreme is a very elegant perfume, ideal for a man that is accustomed to be charming and transfers its condition to the people around him.
